Finally, a post from the West Coast

Well, well we’re finally getting around to posting on our new blog.  There’s a lot to make up for but I just don’t remember everything so I’ll keep it specific to the last few weeks.

First of all, we’re proud to say that Town Mountain has made it through the first round of voting for IBMA Emerging Artist of the Year.  And Bobby Britt has made it through the first round of Fiddle Player of the Year.  Thanks to all who cast their votes our way.  And let’s hope we make the next round.

It’s been a great summer so far we’ve been all around the country and now find ourselves in the Pacific North West in beautiful Washington State.  The past two nights we’ve been with the amazing Jim Lauderdale and were his backing band.  Thanks to all in Seattle who came out to the tractor to show us support.  We love that town and feel the love from y’all!  Last night we were at The Columbia River Gorge Bluegrass Festival in Stevenson, WA.  We played a rocking TM set and then followed it with an even more rocking Lauderdale/TM set.  We really enjoy playing Jim’s material.  What a songsmith and singer!  We wrap up tonight with another TM set and then off to Eugene, OR for our last stop on this western run.  Thanks to all who came out and out helped out in Montana, Idaho and Washington.  We couldn’t do it with out y’all.

We’ll be back on the East Coast next weekend for some shows.  Hope to see you all there.

Jim and the boys.
