Robert Greer, vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter, lives in Asheville, North Carolina, but he grew up in Georgia, North Carolina and Norfolk, Virginia. He attended Virginia Wesleyan College and graduated from Wofford College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government. He is the "2003 Western North Carolina Vocalist of the Year".  Robert is Town Mountain’s guitar player, lead singer, and de facto frontman.

Jesse Langlais plays banjo, writes a large part of Town Mountain's original material and sings tenor and baritone. Jesse hails from Old Town, Maine and moved to North Carolina six years ago. Jesse won the third place banjo award in the 2003 Western North Carolina Mountain State Fair.
Barrett Smith is a native of Columbia, South Carolina, and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a major in classical guitar performance.  He has toured extensively across the US, as well as Europe and Asia, as a singer and multi-instrumentalist. He now lives in Asheville where he offers private music lessons and makes music for a living and smiles a lot.  Barrett plays bass in the band and lends his baritone vocals bringing together their unique three-part harmonies. www.barrettsmith.com
Phil Barker mandolin, vocals.
Hailing originally from Greenville, SC, Phil began his musical career in High School playing electric guitar. A few years later he got his first mandolin, and got the bluegrass bug. Phil cites his earliest influeces as Bill Monroe and David Grisman. A fact evident in his hard-driving stlye. In 2002 he joined with long-time friend Charlie Chamberlain to form the group Steel String Theory. He toured nationally with the band for four years, releasing two albums. The latter of which, titled The North Buncombe Years, was voted WNCW's #6 regional release of 2006. More recently Phil won Asheville's Brown
Bag Songwriting competition, a contest spanning all genre's and styles of music. Phil joined Town Mountain in January 2007, and sings some tenor with the band, in addition to songwriting and playing mandolin.
Fiddle players with Town Mountain include Josh Goforth, John Garris, Steve Trisman, Don Lewis, Justin Hoffenberg, Bobby Britt, Merl Johnson and Megan Gregory.
